Old age

What is your opinion? Can neps die from old age? in perfect conditions and such can they rely die? i saw a picture of "Big Bertha" the Bical and it had aparently been growing for a while. just somthing to think about.

I don't think we have enough data for that...people still have cuttings that came from original Victorian hybrids.
I know one grower in AU who has a monster N. x Oisa that grew from his first Nepenthes, and I think it's over 30 years old.
