New to the CP scene

I mainly just read the VFT threads, but today i decided to buy a pitcher. When i bought it, one of the pitchers looks like its dieing, the pitcher is shrinking, and turning brown. Do i cut this off, or just let it do its thing.

Pitchers don't last forever. Cut off anything brown or black, but don't cut into green tissue.
