New Plant

My mom got this new plant in a two inch pot, labled "Exotic Foliage"...

The leave look kind of like african violet leaves, only the fur is stubbyer, and shorter. They have pink margins... The plant sends out thread like shoots. I dont know what the shoots do yet, because we just bought it, but they might grow new plants.

Anybody ID this?

Hmmm...a picture would really help, if possible.  The plant doesn't come with a brightly-colored care tag, does it?  If it does, it's probably from here.  Just a guess: you have yourself a cape primrose.

Sounds like the mother of thousands plant, Saxifraga stolonifera tricolor. I couldnt find a pic of the pink variagated form. The fine shoots develop small plants at there ends.
