My very first Fly Trap. I put him in the fridge for the winter because I live in Florida. I have in out of the fridge for about 9 days now. The bulb looked good as far as I know. Put him in a new pot and hoping for the best. I am not sure how long it takes for a Fly Trap to get going again. In the picture it looks like a new trap is started.

Welcome to the forums! What is your average night time Temps in the winter? I live in Tucson AZ where winter are 30s and 40s with some dips in 20s and they winter just fine outside. My flytraps are still in the process of waking up, I never did the fridge method so I'm not sure how long it takes for them to wake up from that. You definitely have a new trap coming so should be on the way!

I have used the refrigerator method in the past and I'd put plants, flytraps included, in there for at least 12 weeks at a time. It's going to vary depending on the species and where they are adapted to but I've never seen it become overly critical as to how long. The main concern is mold and fungus that can kill the plants if they run rampant so keeping the time in there to a minimum always seemed like a good idea to me. If you've got new growth, I'd say that should do it.

@bluemax I think he's asking how long it takes it to really start growing once it comes out of the fridge. Sounds like you should have some insight on that having done the fridge method.

An educated guess would be 1 - 3 weeks, depending on growing conditions. They certainly can stumble along for awhile after waking up.
