Glad I found this forum. Been doing a lot of reading. Probably like some of you I didn't start out to have a terrarium. I have a 75 gallon aquarium that I am tired of the upkeep. Please tell me a terrarium is not as time consuming as an aquarium. Anyway my specific question now is can I use the coconut fiber between the gravel/charcoal and the soil or does it need to be spanghum Moss.

Thanks for any replies and excuse in advance dumb questions.

Good morning Thig and welcome. I am located in Michigan. As far as your question, it would depend on what plants you intend to grow? Might be a good idea to locate the section of the forum that more directly applies to the type of plants you want to grow. This forum has sections covering almost any plants that you would ever want to grow! Good luck to you.
