This is a male "typical" N. ventricosa, currently in bloom (two flower spikes). The longest of its several vines is ~2 ft. I removed the 2005 pitchers because they don't overwinter well in my house, but there are lots of healthy tendrils for the 2006 crop. Last year's pitchers were all lowers, but the plant has grown a lot and maybe the bloom is a sign that it's ready for uppers. A proper pruning will yield a number of cuttings for trades, by the way. Let the bidding start at $10 and I'll pay for shipping as long as it goes for more than $25.
