Nep S.O.S!! Oedema, Fungus, Bacteria? Idk

Hello đź‘‹

I’ve recently added these guys to my terrarium. Semi-open enclosure. Maintains 70-75% humidity -75deg F. During the day. Evening 70-75% humidity and 60-61 deg F.

But I could rly use some help in identifying what this issue might be. They came from the same shipment. Initially I thought it might’ve been an acclimation issue w respect to the lighting. Or perhaps the amount of moisture during bag acclimation (only did it for 2-3 days) since they’re in a terra. Wondering if it could be mites? I’m not sure. I’ve already pruned whatever was alrdy too far gone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏽

On your rob hybrid blackening spreading out from the stem to the leaves is rot, and the plant is probably gone. It looks like you're using a spaghnum heavy mix which combined with a humid terrarium allows this to happen. I would back off on the humidity and/or change to a lighter media. Do you have any fans and an intake to allow fresh air into the terrarium?

Hey thanks for the reply.
The potting medium was originally like 90% lava rock, pumice, calcined clay, fine pine bark, and 10% sphagnum. Top dressed with sphagnum. Which my other neps seem to be doing ok in. Plenty of aeration.

I feel like this time around the bag acclimation might’ve been the issue. Maybe forgoing the bag acc. altogether was the move.

Anyways, I’ve since repotted the robcantleyi in like 40% sphag, 40% perlite, 20% the prior inert mix. Which still seems to have rly good aeration/drying time.

I have an 80mm fan that activates whenever the humidifier activates. (As of two days ago I didn’t have the fan sync’d to the humidifier and had it constantly running on the lowest setting) The terrarium is semi-enclosed so it has like 2” gap in the front & rear ceiling. Looking to add 2x 40mm fans which will stay on and ideally create a crosswind and further mix the air. To avoid a static wind pattern.

As grey said, that rob hybrid is done for. The whole plant is beyond saving -you may be able to cut the growth point clean off. The cut has to be 100% free of black and there is a chance it could root and start over. If there isn't enough plant to do that it's dead-dead.
