I have a large N. Sabre. It has 2 large growth points with 20-25 inch leaf spans and it has recently started 3 basals.
I was thinking of cutting the two large growth points near the base and putting them in water. Either that or 100% perlite with a tray of water. I have never attempted cuttings of a whole growth point minus the roots so I am not sure if this will work. I have rooted 3 node cuttings with no problems, but I am not sure cutting an entire growth point will work. Especially ones as large as these. Will they get enough water while roots are developing?
