N. lowii's trdemark ain't no trademark

lowii is different though. it's got a different shape color and the pitchers work differently.

when i think of lowii i think of bagpipes... i'm weird lol
 
I think it was me. And I stick by the comment. Lowii has many, pronounced bristles under its lid. There are two other species which also have bristles under the lid, although not to the same extent: ephippiata (which is related to lowii) and macfarlanei. In macfarlanei, it is not a consistent trait.

Accordingly, lowii is the epitome of species having bristles under the lid, IMHO, which is why I said it's a trademark feature.
