Excellent work! I would love to see how they stick out in comparison to the parents or rest of the siblings. For us common folk who can never acquire and grow so many awesome Heliamphora it can be hard to recognize some of the slighter nuances between plants.
well, real right off.... 90% of their siblings are still immature and less than 1.5" tall....
but these two, from seed to what you see now in under 18 months.... very strong growers
the dark cherry color in the first is definitely H. folliculata influence,
Butchie Jr #1 - needs to learn how to shave soon and I am breaking out the wax for good measure
Butchie Jr #2 - more colorful and less hairy. I was recounting how consuming an exorbitant amount of carrots can lead to carotenemia. I guess junior took it to heart.
ahhhhh my first born and the first of their kind, I'm so proud.... lololol
Definitely can see a diff in those two siblings...
#2 definitely shows more H. sarracenioides influence, does it have external pitcher hair?.... kind of hard to tell from pic
I think there will be some nice cultivars from that group
Remember, I get a division if they turn out to be super awesome fantastic LOL
I'll try to add a couple pics of mine in a few days
Wonder how the NASC one is doing?
(where are ya KPG? LOL)
