Multifida "Extrema" Mutation and Madagascariensis

I noticed this oddity on my Extrema the other day...

You can see the respective leaf petioles(?) fused together in this shot.

And I also brought my D. madagascariensis out since it resides in the same water tray. I didn't realize until now how great of a hanging plant madagascariensis would make.
