Awesome Begonia and awesome moss :D
I think i got that stuff in your orchid pot in my inermis pot aswell.
Until now i though they were fern prothalli.

Nice. I love mosses. Unfortunately too much of it can actually harm the plant. Do u try removing it from time to time? You can also use a inch layer of orchid bark, perlite or sand to prevent moss growing.

First of all you should rip it off and send it to me and then just keep doing that forever til I say to stop! :lol:

Warmer temps seems to keep moss from growing well.When my tanks are cooler in spring summer and fall with the windows open or the AC on 24/7 the moss grows much better than it does now in the winter when the temps are warmer having the house all closed up.

I've started just removing the ones that do the most harm, the low growing liches and some algae I'm leaving alone since they create a barrier to the "bad" ones.

The 2nd through 4th photo's the mess is growing on top of orchid bark/charcoal/perlite.

@swords...don't temp me!

Sure looks good though, great pics. I seem to battle some type of moss that grows into thick mats that repels water and I'm guessing inhibits gas exchange into the media below. I pull it up but it takes an inch of media with it. Pain in the butt.
