Mites or something entirely different?

Hey,
This N. dactylifera has been struggling for a while now and honestly I fail to find what the issue is
Its looking really rough right now, hopefully it can recover.
I suspect mites, however I cannot see them anywhere on the plant, not on the backside of the leaves, not on the growth point, nowhere.
Any clue what the issue could be? Overwatering maybe?
I thought about repotting it in case theres something wrong with the roots but I dont want to stress the plant unless necessary.

Thats one of the possibilities Im also thinking about, Ill cut back on the watering for this one and see how it goes
