Max Temps for Drosera schizandra?

Hi all, I know D. schizandra likes growing in temperatures that are lower than what is preferred/tolerated by other CPs. However, I was wondering what are the max temperatures this species can tolerate based on people's experiences? While I can generally maintain temperatures in the low to mid 70s throughout the year, summer temperatures in my apartment do spike to average in the low to mid 80s during the day for several months during the summers where I am located. Would this constant increased temperature be enough to negatively effect D. schizandra?

Yup. Low to mid 70s in the daytime might be ok if you can drop the nighttime temps into the low 60s to high 50s or (preferably) lower. 80s for any real length of time will lead to a quick death esp. without a big temp drop at night.

I can tell of my experiences in my garage growing space. There D. schizandra will endure July/August temps up to around 100 F. with drops of at least 30 degrees at night - but it doesn't like it one bit. I suspect that if our summer heat lasted longer they would all perish but with these conditions my little pot of them has done well for several years now. Of course they have the rest of the year to recover and grow. They don't seem to have any sort of proper heat dormancy, they just shrink and lose leaves while it's too hot. We probably have only 2-3 weeks per year of these extremes.

Mind if I ask where you got your Drosera Schizandra from? Once located I will have the 3 Sisters Of Queensland, even though apparently there are now 4. Thanks
