So, my friend and i are going to get back into martial arts... the two of us practice a hybrid of Aikido and Judo (Aikido to receive and put them down, Judo to keep them there). I want to get a mat for personal use, and wanted to know if anyone here had any testimonials or recommendations on where to get one at.
The mat has to be very high impact tolerable - when we train, we train as though we're in a street fight and don't really hold back. Some of our Aikido moves can really do some damage in terms of making them hit the ground, so our main concern is it being able to take an initial impact and soften it.
