many new pics

I think they finally got acclimated to the great outdoors. They were store plants ,,, they were growing inside ,,,, i put them outside and it took them awhile to get used to it but now they are fine

I had them under direct sunlight ( very hot and warm ) I think one got a sunburn ( 3RD PIC) as you can see so i moved them to a less sunny place... Did i do good? Any advise on this?

Very pretty, how long did you plants take to get used to and start growing outside?

the "half dead" leaves are the ones that came with the plants from the store

about a month to get used to the outdoors

Yes, a little sunburn, nothing serious. You probably don't even have to cut the sun down but moving it for a couple of weeks so it is partially shaded or gets several hours less sun won't hurt.

The first couple of completely the new leaves may come out a touch stunted but after that it should start producing.

my questions is this: do they need to be hit by direct sunlight or do they need to be in a sunny environment

they preffer direct sunlight

Direct sunlight is best. Move them so the are partially shaded at all times by another plant or where they get at least half as many hours of direct sun when they burned. Then move them back to where they were when they burned in a couple weeks or so.
