Locked Messages?

I received a private message (or conversation as they're labeled now) from someone, but am unable to reply to it because it's locked; is this due to a message limit, issue on their end, or is there a glitch in the system?
To the person who sent the message, if you see this: my growlist on here has not been updated in a long time, and the plant in question is not available.

Well I just checked, and there is a button to lock/unlock it. Sorry

I had looked last night and didn't see that option anywhere. I do now, you have to go into edit when in the conversation. How did you accidentally hit that? lol
Glad it was figured out! (you're new so you probably don't know we just moved to this software less than a year ago. )
