NASC auction is OPEN!!

leaves dying

Every time i feed my d. adelae the leaf ends up turning black at the spot i fed it and dies. Why is this? the leaves are fine until they are fed

If it gets a bit more food than the leaf can handle, the spot will get "overloaded" and will burn.
To reduce this, grind up the food into smaller bits and use a smaller portion.
Some sundews are better at handling more food than others (ie D. burmannii pretty much will never burn, regardless of how much food I pile on its leaves, while some smaller forms of D. anglica or some South American sundews can barely handle little bit of food without burning, molding, or never producing dew again...)
