Anyone want to walk me through the steps? I know I need a really sharp knife tool thing for clean cuts.

Just grab the rhizome and pull til it snaps in half. If that won't work just cut it where it looks best

Or use a knife/ scissors and cut off growth tips from the rhizome, making sure to take like 2-3 inches of rhizome and some root mass as well for a quick and healthy recovery

Okay, tomorrow I'll just bring it to school for repotting and have it all root n stuff for viewing.
