Ivan snyder creations

Hi ! I'm french and i'm a big fan of Ivan snyder hybrids !
I don't understand why people doesn't grow much his plants. Anglica CaxHi and ivan's paddle obovata are large robust easy grower plants with exceptionnaly no dormancy.
Anglica sprout with no cold stratification like 2 weeks after sowing and paddle leaf cuttings are one of the easiest.
Here some pic of those wonderful plants.
Unfortunately its very hard for european fella to import some seeds from the US.

Certainly a worthy subject for a thread. I grow both 'Ivan's Paddle' and his D. anglica CA x HI and I love them both.

Unfortunately Charles Darwin cultivar is extremely rare , i'm still searching for it !!

I've got 'Paddle', 'Dr. Frankensnyder's Monster', and the CA x HI anglica; the second one has given me the most trouble but when soil is not being problematic for me they're all fairly strong growers.

Nice surprise to see this. Thanks everyone. Yes, I find our Drosera anglica hybrids actually grow more vigorously from seed to flower than D. capensis. Great improvement. I enjoy growing from seed. Attached is a photo of my latest generation Little Paddle started from seed in an applesauce cup. Thriving along with a local native moss which invaded through roof runoff rainwater I use. I tried raising a D. capensis this way; grew poorly. Wish I had a suitable rain gutter outdoors to support a population in. Imagine, an urban sundew. My dream.



I expect we will likewise soon see more cultivation improvement made to D. rotundifolia through crossing with the Philippines variety. Sadly, I failed to raise up Philippines plants from seed myself. Others are having better luck.
