Is this water filtration system adequate?

Under the Specifications tab, it says Total Dissolved Solids (Percentage): 90.0

If this one isn't good enough, what would be a good alternative?

it will do the job but for a few more dollars you can, get a ro unit with di that will get the water down to 0 ppm
also depends on where your water comes from what the starting ppm are and the water pressure

It's a decent enough unit, but those are non-standard prefilters made to be "homeowner" friendly (integral prefilter housings).....
Much more expensive to maintain
