Is this stuff safe

I was wondering if Activeated Filter Carbon(used in aquariums) would be safe to use as a bottom layer for a terrarium.
 
No dont use it. If you have to use it use plant charcoal.

It can build up toxins then release them all at once. Theres no place for it IMO. The only thing it's good for is absorbing chlorine but that would only be produced in VERY deep soil over a while.

Don't think it's dangerous for the plants though.
 
ok thanks, i also got this stuff that is called activated charcoal. The guy said it was for burned coconut shells. Would this work???
