Is it okay to cut of dead nepenthes leaves?

if so, how close to the plant should i cut?

It fine to cut off dead leaves. I usually just wait until they are completely brown then cut them off leaving just a wee bit of leave left on the stem.

I do it all the time and right up to their stem.
