Is division Needed?

Adam

Sarracenia Collector
In gardening with carnivores, it says to divide every few years. i was wondering if it's nessecary, or if they will do fine 10+ years without being divided, being crammed( i like the effect). Or will they die? thank you

Obviously they dont need to be divided, think of wildgrowing plants **shrug**
i doubt they would die if you didnt divide them, its good to divide to get more plants though.

Yeah, I agree with SK, it probly doesn't matter but you can get more plants and stuff to trade. But I don't really know.

They don't need dividing, but the plants are always stressed to some degree in cultivation. The rhizomes tend to gradually die and rot at the ends, so it can be safer to remove these to prevent fungus problems.

At the end of winter I will be uprooting mine and separating the plants from one another. They'll be asleep and won't even notice.
