I like hoverflies. They're tiny. The other day I was sitting outside and one hovered right over my hand lol

yeah but never on holding still as this guy. He was so enthralled with the nectar on the plant that he didn't even notice me.
Normally they are darting around.

He is meant to look like that, and as far as I know bee's/wasps don't have iridescence on their body.

plus, those big 'ole eyes totally scream "fly" as opposed to honeybee
