i found this in my backyard growing on some old alfala pellets i dumped. (old bedding for my tortoises) i live in the willamette valley near the oregon coast. i have no idea of the pellets origin though. i think i found them right in their prime because i just went out and looked at them again and now theyre turning brown. too bad i didnt find them a day or so earlier.
btw that mound theyre growing on is about a foot across
