Help with ipod

How do you load music on a ipod nano?I'm trying to put music on for someone and can't get it done.I just put songs on a mp3 player for someone but this ipod is a pain.Anyone know how?

You need to use the Itunes software that comes with it.

Well,I have Itunes(downloaded) installed on my pc,does that count?

Then you need music in that itunes program (the program may even need to be linked via serial number to the player?) plug it in, and it basically updates right away on its own. I've had my ipod for over a year now and can't remember the details of the installng of the program and if it required specific data of my ipod. But i think so, to limit the same music from being put on multiple ipods.

Yeah I think thats the problem,the serial number need to be verified.Thanks for the help.
