Hello from deblo

If you're on flytrap care you already know me as deblo. I come here because I've seen numerous posts offering growing advice , successes , and some of what not to do for petiolaris sundews. This forum has already contributed to my success. I grow a small array of CPs. And im hoping to gain more insight by being a part of the forum. Thank you for having me. I'll include my updated grow list:

Pinguicula- Lutea and soon to be P. Weser
Vft- typicals
Sarracenia- alata, wherryi, psittacina, and recently leucophylla
Nepenthes- BE3734, BE3723, xventrata, and BE3953
Drosera- brevifolia, Capillaris, Capillaris "Long arm" , filiformis var floridana, filiformis var filiformis, aff lanata , derbyensis, and 2 different locations of broomensis

I don't have much of a want list except for the petiolaris complex sundews; plants or seeds. Those I'd be happy to find for sell or trade. But one of the most well known plant suppliers of petiolaris plants even says it's difficult to find seeds of those. So for now I'll swoon over the thought. 😀

:welcome: I have plants that REALLY need to be divided and cleaned up, but I don't have room currently to divide them and grow them out before sales. If people were interested in fresh divisions I may be convinced to digging in there. lol This is an older photo, its only "worse" now! adnedarn's photo thread
I'll post more cutlrrent photos in a bit.

Welcome to TF deblo! That's a nice-sounding collection. Yes - I don't see many seeds of petiolaris species and there is conflicting information about sprouting them. The closest thing I've seen to a consensus is that very fresh seeds are easiest to sprout. 'Makes them harder to sell.

What worked for me was warm roots and high humidity. I got some of the only petiolaris seeds up for grabs on flytrap and I sprouted about 20 sundews some succumbed to sudden petiolaris death syndrome. No real reason that I could see for why they just up n croaked. It was overnight too I remember tucking all my plants in turning off the light after their bedtime story 🤣 the very next morning I noticed 2 had shriveled to nothing over night. I have 13 left that are doing fine. I chalk it up to beginner's luck on those. Considering some people use GA3 to germinate petiols.
