Hello from Az

Hello all,
My names Doug. From Vail Az. New to these types of plants but not plants in general.
Bought a few plants off of Andrew the other day and he told me about the forum.
Seems like a good amount of info. Getting into these plants because hey they are pretty freaking cool…..they eat stuff!!!! And also because I can overwater them and they are fine. Best of both worlds.
here are the few I have so far. Cant wait to find more types and add them to my set.

Hey, glad to see you!
That pot with your new plants looks awfully dry, did you prewet the media before potting everything up? I ask because dry peat moss is pretty hydrophobic and really doesn't like to get wet. So the plants could definitely end up stressing while waiting to get wet using what appears to be a watering spot with the gravel there.

All the wet dirt they came with was under that very top layer. After the photo I had used a spray bottle to wet all the dirt. Seems to be pretty damp .

Nice, that sounds good all around! Gotta watch out for that first soaking for peat - it can be tough to get it to hold water.

Welcome! What kinds of other plants do you grow?
