Heliamphora media questions

I've recently started using pure live lfs for growing heliamphora. The latest batch I bought has a bunch of pine needles in it. I know people use pine needles for neps and other plants, is there any reason to think this well be bad for my heliamphora?

While I have not tried pine needles yet, I suspect that they would be fine. I'll add them to my potting mix the next time I re-pot one to see if I notice anything.
