i know calcium is needed, I know boron ions are needed... its gotta be the sucrose level

300mg/L Calcium Nitrate
100mg/L Boric Acid

No growth...

LOL, Onion epidermis looking like the best option... at least I can continue the pollen storage study.
I will revisit the synthetic growth media formula again at a later date.
