Harvesting heli pollen with a tuning fork

I did this over some black plastic and ended up with a nice little amount of pollen

Very cool!

I could clearly see the pollen being dispersed -- a Heliamphora "money shot" (heh, heh) . . .
 
Nice vid! An overhead shot to show the pollen falling would've been a nice addition, but I don't imagine you have a camera crew available regularly to shoot multiple angles. :p

Super duper cool mate!! Thats called using science in normal day situations. :D I remember seeing such a way of pollen dispersal in "Private life of plants". But this is the first time I am seeing Heliamphora flowers being harvested that way. In nature these frequencies are provided by bees which are mostly the primary pollinators.

Reminds me of the short story "Prima Belladonna" by JG Ballard about the man who owns an orchid shop full of singing orchids.
 
It's a tatei var. tatei, and Ill just pollinate the next flower... so no hybrid.
