Grey Moss Thread

This past September I was lucky enough to visit Borneo Exotics in Sri Lanka. Here's a few photos from the facility.

First was the TC lab. It occupied a much smaller space that I would have imagined.

After that we toured a few greenhouses that were dedicated to growing out stock in preparation for export. A plant currently in your collection might be photographed here.

A few plants were held in these cages outside of the greenhouses. According to Rob they do this to encourage plants to flower. Apparently the harsher and less controllect conditions can help in that respect. I was able to spot at least one ephippiata and a xTrusmadiensis in there.

Wow - what a cool experience! Thanks for sharing the visual version. You captured some stunning plants and a nice overall flavor!

Amazing! Thanks for posting these. I agree with you about the villosa. 'Probably my favorite Nep species. I'm told there are forms that are relatively easy to grow and some that are very difficult.

Based on what Rob has told me and the climate data for their location of Sri Lanka it is probably one of the easier clones. Nightly temps are in the range of 50-55 year round there.

Such a cool opportunity to see that stuff in person and visit them, thanks for sharing it with us!
