Golden Plover

Here's a photo taken in Honolulu a few weeks ago of a golden plover. It's probably gone now, having migrated to Alaska or somewhere else in the arctic, a distance of 2000+ miles, nonstop. The bird may appear to be delicate, but it's tough. When this bird returns in the fall, it will come back to the same spot of grass.

Cool. It's always so incredible how some animals can find their way back to certain places like that.
