Incredible pictures!! Both of your flowering plants are male By what I can tell, it looks like your N. Ventricosa MAY be flowering very soon. Shortened leaves and aborted pitchers are common for N. Ventricosa before it flowers. They also like to flower in the spring . My Vent female just decided to flower. . .
