Here's something my brother-in-law sent me:

A number of years ago a freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first
prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair.

He was attempting to show how conditioned we have
become to alarmists practicing junk science and
spreading fear of everything in our environment.
-
In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict
control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide."
-
And, for plenty of good reasons, since:

1. it can cause excessive sweating and vomiting
-
2. it is a major component in acid rain
-
3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state
-
4. accidental inhalation can kill you
-
5. it contributes to erosion
-
6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes
-
7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients
-
He asked 50 people if they supported a ban of the chemical.
-
Forty three (43) said yes, six (6) were undecided, and only one (1) knew
that the chemical was.

Does anyone know what this dangerous chemical is?

yep but ill let someone else guess

lol i try to stay out of Ozzys fun topics. they generally involve reptiles and i have WAYYYYY to much eperiance in them so i would rin the fun quite quickly

That is too funny. But to be honest, I might have rushed to be one of the 43 wanting it banned. I wonder, did this really happen or is it 'urban legend'?

It probably happened. Not many people know our little "chemical" by that name.

Clint, that was too soon! I was hoping for an Ozzy-esque murder mystery / is it true? topic!

I know a chemical that is way worse than Dihydrogen Monoxide. This chemical is mostly made up of Dihydrogen Monoxide so it has all the bad effect of it, but is way more nasty.

I won't give the name away yet.

May spread disease , although it is usually 100% sterile when produced.

It has killed thousands and thousands of rabbits in the past.

It is very dangerous when released into the wind.

It contains the deadly chemical ammonia, so if it is mixed with bleach it could kill within minutes.

It is a major contaminate of snow..

Even with how bad it is, it does have a helpful use. It has been used to cure earaches by pouring it in the ear.

How would I pour my breath in somebodies ear? Duhhh
