Food Sources for my Cps

I have been trying several different feeding sources for my Cps. 1: BLOODWORMS: I tried grinding up the bloodworms to a powder and then trying to get the right consistency to feed the plants using a toothpick to get the right amount of food on them. 2: FLIGHTLESS FRUIT FLIES: I found that the best way is to put them in the fridge and then once they got a little chill on them to take them out of the culture container and put them in a container to pull from to feed them to the Cps. So far, this has worked much better than my first method of shaking out the container onto the plants...what a disaster and overfeed. 3.FOLAR: really like the MAXSEA but find that using a needle dropper or syringe is the best to control the drop size and not keep dumping fertilizer into the soil. I have tried spraying a mist across the plant not into the dirt and that works also. This is old hat for everyone else but for others new to the hobby just sharing.

Meal worms seem ok, but leave their hard shell behind. I take it out of the VFT to get it ready for the next feed.

I have settled on the Maxsea, as you said. I'm told that foliar orchid fertilizers work well, too. I use a hypodermic syringe for the sundews, which is much faster and less work than it sounds. It leaves the leaves (ha!) looking clean and healthy. Thanks, Peter D'Amato!

Excellent, the fruit flies do make the leaves appear dirty
