Of the seedlings I'm growing from different female plants, 2 from one mother are in flower already. They were sown 7/13 and germination began 7/28. Both are in this first tray (front left and back right).

Here are close ups of one (before I noticed there was another).

I found it interesting, although it seems not too uncommon, even more so that two plants.from the same mom were doing it. I've attempted to mark these plants so I can follow them. For those that received flytrap seed from me, this is the v14a mom (the big trapped/flower stalk one).

Please do update on the seedling flowering. I had one do this recently ( sown in March) but it has sent up 4 more stalks since. All have aborted due to having to be repotted. The traps are very minute and as yet have shone no increase in size. The plant is only about 1/4" across.

The seedlings from this post did not flower again, but did abort the stalks and did not open flowers. The plants are still growing as well as the others that didn't flower.

The idea of there being a possible vft cultivar based on large flowers is certainly interesting. My plants are grown in a single large pot with multiple cultivars and I don't seem much variation in the flowers in them.
