Fly Trap is Eating Itself

One of my traps is now chomping down on the stem of another trap. It's had it in its mouth for about three days now, and has gone concave as an attempt to seal it in. If it were going to let it go - wouldn't it have done that already?

As in move the petiole of the trap away? Yes, it would probably have activated the trap, but, it would shortly open as something woudn't be inside the trap. But it won't really matter, lots of VFTs do this, even mine is.
