Flips

SubRosa

BS Bulldozer
Made a couple flips along some train tracks while walking the dog today. Probably the 3 most common snakes in PA, although the ringnecks aren't as commonly found, due to being more secretive. #1 DeKay's snake, Storeria dekayii #2 Northern ringneck snake, Diadophis punctatus edwardsii #3 Eastern garter snake, Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis

All 3 are pretty neat looking. It's always nice to find the hiding ones! That garter has something to say :LOL:
"flips" confused me... Now I assume it means flipping rocks to find critters. haha! I'm not in the critter hunting circles. ;)

Ironically not species I've seen much of at all, though mostly due to not being in range. Only found my first northern ringneck this past week, and seen a grand total of like 3 eastern garters. 5 Dekay's and most of those were in a 24 hour period on and near Snake Road.

Not under a rock, but I ran i to this one in my backyard recently guarding the tropical greenhouse.
