There will be three days of geology field trips centered in western Mass on Oct 10-12 and this is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn or see some geology or just enjoy some time outside. The trips are organized by the New England Intercollegiate Geological Conference, which does nothing but run field trips in the region one weekend each year. It isn't just for university faculty & students and there will be as many or more high school teachers, professional geologists and random people looking for a few days outside.
