So has anyone tried actually raising brine shrimp or something similar for the express purpose of feeding Utrics? I know some of you guys keep aquatics in fishtanks, where they may get additional nutrition from the foods fed to the fish. Do they do significantly better with a source of prey, or does it not matter?
I ask because I've been raising mine 'elgecko' style in mesh-bottom pots over containers of water, and my praelonga now has significant root/trap growth in the water below the pot. I wonder if feeding those dangling traps might urge the plant on to further growth and perhaps flowering (mine hasn't yet).
