European heaven & hell

It's an old one, but a speaker mentioned it at a conference yesterday and I have to pass it along. I hope it isn't a rerun here:

European heaven is a place where the police are British, the cooks are French, the engineers are German, the lovers are Italian and everything's run by the Swiss.

In European hell, the British are the cooks, the French are the engineers, the Germans are the police, the Swiss are the lovers and the Italians run the place.

Ugh British are such atrocious cooks. Every dish is slathered in mayonnaise, with a side of mayonnaise.

And I gotta admit, I've seen German police beat a few people down in my day!

It's funny to think the Brits can't even make a decent cheese burger! My UK writer for battlehelm.com (Shan Siva) always wants to eat at burger joints and have "real cheeseburgers" when he visits.
How hard is it to make a cheeseburger?
