Erupting volcano

Mt. Veniaminof on the Alaska Peninsula is erupting and Mt Spurr has been acting up for months. Last time Mt Spurr erupted was on my birthday in 1992, talk about a quick end to a party.

When I was in Costa Rica last year, I took this pic of the Arenal volcano doing its thing. This was accompanied by a LOUD boom!
