Drosophyllum seedlings under t5ho's

I have a extra hydrofarm 4 bulb t5 ho sitting the box. Tonight I will be putting 25 seeds into peat pots for germination...while i do have a windowsill that receives 8 hours of sun I would prefer if I can start them with 18 hour cycles instead to speed them along. My question is, has anyone been successful at keeping them under artificial lights through the juvenile stages?
