Hello everyone, recently my Drosera Graomogolensis collapsed, and I was wondering if anyone here could help diagnose the issue? It had been growing fantastically over the past 8 months under bright lights, 80% RH, and low temperatures (50F nights, 75F days).
After increasing the light from 430 ppfd to 550 ppfd, I noticed that its dew had reduced so I moved it to about 375 ppfd, where it promptly stopped growing at all. I also filled the tray of water it was in pretty high (about an inch) the weeks previous to the stall, so that might also have caused some issues? The plant was in a 3.5” pot as well, with a well-draining 1:1 peat/course sand mix.
I then repotted it about 3 weeks later suspecting root rot into 70% peat 30% coarse sand in a 5 inch pot; it had one long root. It has sat in about 450 ppfd since the repot, under the same temperature and humidity ranges as previous. I water very lightly now via tray (about 1 cm) and let the tray go dry for a full day before filling back up.
Wondering what could have caused it to stall, and if the soil mixture I used will be adequate. The repot mix does not drain at all (or at least very slowly), since I compressed it heavily.
