Drosera burmannii propagation

I have propagated Drosera capensis, which is very easy, buy cutting off the laminate and cutting it in two and placing it is rainwater or RO. The new plants grow quickly and for a beginner, which I am it is rewarding to get almost guaranteed results. I would like to go a step further and see if I am able to do the same with Drosera burmannii. Can I cut off a "leaf" and place it in rain or RO will I get the same results? Growing from seed works, but takes a long time. Are all the Drosera able to be propagated the same a D. capensis?

Thanks for your help.

I've tried vegetative propagation of D. burmannii with no success.
In my experience, Annual/Short-lived Perennial Sundews reproduce best from seed and not well at all from leaf/root cuttings.
Longer lived Drosera perennials (except D. regia) do well with leaf cuttings and thick rooted Sundews give good results with root cuttings.
Usual disclaimers,
YMMV
This is just my 02¢ worth.

Drosera cannot be lumped together as all the same thing, they are a massive radiation with wildly different lifestyles in each subgenus and section and plants will not respond the same from any of the groups. The Theocalyx group with burmannii and sessilifolia, and other annuals like the indica complex, do not propagate via any means other than seed. And they do not take a long time from seed; fed appropriately they reach flowering size in only a couple months.
You *can* get leaf cuttings from regia to sprout, but it's exceedingly difficult and takes a very long time with stable clean conditions in a water-float; roots and seeds far easier.

thanks Carlton for the clarifications of seed propagation vs cutting for the Drosera burmannii and sessilifolia. I currently am somewhat obsessed with burmannii and can not get over how productive they are. Seems you turn you head and there are little Db all over the pot. They are stunning when they get larger.
