Doodle Bug or dixie lace.

I hope that someone can clear up my confusion.
I ordered a Doodle Bug and when it came , it looks jest like all my Dixie lace. Are they the same plant renamed or sister plants from the same batch of seedlings?
Thanx In advance
Lois

They look similar at times. 'Doodle Bug' pitchers should be more psitticina like with rounded hoods while 'Dixie Lace' is more rubra-like with pointed hoods. Coloring is similar. They're both cultivars by Mellinchamp and Gardner from the North Carolina Botanical Garden and UNCC.

'Doodlebug' is part of NCBG trademarked "Little Bugs Pitcher Plant" series - 'Redbug', 'Lady Bug', 'Lovebug'. 'Redbug' is a patented plant and license is required for propagation - tissue culture only. The other "Little Bugs" have patents applied for.
