Does anyone here keep and/or breed mantids?

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone on this forum keeps and/or breeds any type of praying mantid.

I am currently keeping a female Iris Oratoria, and she finished laying her (what I believe is her last) ootheca (egg sac).

If you have kept/bred mantids, please share your experiances!

Not intentionally. Brought home a Mantis religiosa as a kind of pet for a week and had her running around my bedroom for a bit. Sometime during that she laid an ootheca on my bookshelf.

Any keep any of the exotic species?
