Difference with "dente" VFTs?

What's the difference between a "standard" VFT and the "dente" variety? I bought one each, and they both seem nearly identical. I'm guessing it's supposed to be in the teeth, but I'm not seeing it.

The difference is in the teeth, the dentate have short saw like teeth while typical has the longer normal teeth.
Here is Dentate

The dente variety sometimes grow long spines on early season traps, but by now it should be full of traps with shark's teeth instead of spines.

oops forgot to mention that xD thanks alexis

Hm, my dente plant has spines on everything at the moment. And it's catching and eating a lot, so clearly something is right somewhere. But I was unaware that it was a seasonal thing. Thanks!
